Using an InBody for Body Composition Analysis?

Like with most things - consistency is key.

Bio-electrical impedance measures how current flows through your body and this is impacted by anything water related. This means your nutrition, hydration and exercise can impact results - not just that day but also in the days before.

  • If you can’t weigh first thing in the morning, weigh at the same time of day each time you do

  • Weigh before exercise - not after

  • Keep a food diary for the day +1 or 2 before, so you can repeat food and drink each time

  • Go to the loo before

  • Don’t drink alcohol the night before, or lots of caffeine beforehand

  • Build up a picture with a stringent process of repeat measures over time
